How our services coordinate with
RIBA’s Plan of Work stages
1
When appointed, we have a briefing session with our clients. Firming up budget, future needs and deliverables, we are able to plot a course for the development of our collaboration.
2
We present a layout/space plan to propose how we will use the space, along with a design concept for all areas of the project. After client consultations, we finesse these proposals for sign off and discuss our vision with other design team members for a cohesive strategy.
3
With the plans set, we work with consultants where necessary, to finalise lighting plans and ventilation strategies.
4
Technical drawings and schedules are then completed for procurement and going to tender. This often includes design-intent joinery drawings.
At the end of this stage, the chosen contractor will be appointed. Any bespoke joinery of furniture will be ordered to ensure deadlines are met.
5
During the construction phase, we attend site meetings as often as needed, providing collaborative solutions for any variations that may arise.
6&7
When the contractor has finished, we coordinate Furniture, Finishes and Equipment deliveries. We offer a Styling service where required.
At the end of the project, we hand over a set of documents outlining the products used, for future reference for our clients.
Our lead designer, Catherine White, was born and raised on the British island of Bermuda. First studying at Wimbledon School of Art, and then The Nottingham Trent University, she went on to complete work placements in New York City, Bermuda and finally commencing her post graduate career in London, UK.
After working for prestigious Architecture and Design firms for several years, she started Catherine White Interiors in 2011 and Catherine White Design Limited in 2014.
Based in London, UK, our reach is global.
We are passionate about using sustainable and reusable materials throughout our designs. From sourcing tiles manufactured with clean energy and high recycled content, to advising clients on which products will get the most longevity. We believe designing well, once, is key to sustainability.
